A new kitchen for a passionate baker and an elegant turn of the century row house in historic Mount Pleasant, Washington DC

The new kitchen extends into the orginal sleeping porch which required careful structural design slight of hand

The resulting kitchen is simple straightforward design with a sensistive and warm materials pallete.

The work space is efficient and generous. The marble pastry work top is broad enough to also accommodate causual dining.

And there is room for a nearby cookbook collection.
